Webroot is the application that is made compatible with most of the software on the system. But, at times while installing the application, you might get to see several errors. These errors can be because of various reasons like the difference in the settings, entering of wrong key code, corrupt installation file, and much more. Irrespective of the reason for the occurrence of the error, you have to resolve it in no time.
For resolving the Webroot installation problems, you must follow the solutions given below. This article will guide you to resolve the error. The following are the solutions that you must try.
Check the Key Code you have entered
Firstly, you have to check the keycode you have entered. Even a slight mistake in the keycode will show you the error. Hence, you must be very careful while entering it.
Webroot suggests its users to copy-paste the key code if you got it on your mail. In case code is at the back of the purchase box, then you must have to enter the code just as it is given.
Uninstall previous versions of Webroot or other security software.
If you have a previous version installed or have any other software, then it may hinder the installation of Webroot installation. This could block the installation process of the new Webroot application. Hence, you must try uninstalling the previous version and other applications. You can do this by visiting the control panel. After successful uninstallation, you can try installing the application again.
Resolve the following Errors
“The keycode could not be verified at this time. Ensure that SecureAnywhere is allowed to connect to the Internet and try again,”
If you are getting this error, you must start by checking the internet connection. In case the system is not well connected with the internet, then establish the connection. However, if the internet is well connected, then disable the firewall. This is required as firewall may block Webroot. After disabling, try installing the application again.
In case the error is still not resolved, then try restarting the window in safe mode with networking. Also, you can try installing the application in the administrator account for resolving the error.
